Victor Moses To Replace Babatunde Michael In France vs Nigeria Match

Victor Moses who missed the last two games for the Super Eagles because of a muscle strain is set to return to the team when they face France on Monday evening, June 30.
Victor Moses and Godfrey Oboabona were replaced by Joseph Yobo and Michel Babatunde during Nigeria vs Iran match. Oboabona was substituted in that game with an injury and Moses was taken off for Shola Ameobi.
Now, with Michel Babatunde ruled out with a broken arm, Moses is in line to take his place against Didier Deschamps' men.

Godfrey Oboabona who has fully recovered from the injury is also fit, but it remains to be seen if 100-cap chasing Joseph Yobo has done enough to impress Keshi.
That means Osaze Odemwingie will likely be drafted into the advanced midfield role Babatunde played before his injury, while Moses and Ahmed Musa will occupy the flanks.

Luis Suarez may have been banned by football governing body, FIFA, from participating in football for four-month, latest report indicates the Uruguayan player might not serve the ban in football wilderness after all.

According to Telegraph.co.uk, the Liverpool striker has been offered a shock escape from his four-month worldwide by Kosovo Superleague outfit Hajvalia.

And recent reports suggest that Barcelona are expected to pursue a move for the 27-year-old, despite his stringent suspension.

But the Catalan giants now face a rival for Suarez's signature with Hajvalia prepared to hand the player a chance to play during his ban as a result of Kosovo yet to become full members of FIFA and, therefore, unaffected by the governing body's regulations

"Suarez can't play in the next four months," Xhavit Pacolli, the club's director told Kosovo's daily, Sport Plus.

"As we are not part of FIFA yet, I think he can play in Kosovo, so we have an offer that we will send to Liverpool."
It was gathered that Hajvalia are willing to pay Liverpool 30,000 Euros and give Suarez a salary of 1,500 euros per month if he accepts the offer of playing in the tiny Balkan state.

Luis Suarez' infamous World Cup bite and the measures taken by FIFA did not leave anyone indifferent. Even Uruguay’s President Jose Mujica expressed his view on the controversial situation calling FIFA leaders as “sons of bitches”.

Mujica had welcomed Suarez at Montevideo airport when he arrived individually ahead of the team on Friday, before proclaiming the punishment "an eternal shame" in the history of the World Cup in his weekly radio address.

President Goodluck Jonathan has plans to travel Brazil for the 2014 FIFA World Cup and support the Super Eagles if the team makes it to the quarter-finals of the tournament, kickoffnigeria reports.

The captain of the team, Joseph Yobo, confirmed president’s plan, added that the team would have been even more motivated, if the president could make it to Nigeria vs France match.

"He assured us when he called that he's behind us and if we beat France and qualify for the quarter-final, he will come and visit us and watch the next game," Yobo said.

The Super Eagle’s captain added that the whole team hopes to get such a moral booster, in case of victory against France.

"It's better than money, and we are determined to go there and fight and give our best," Yobo concluded.

Two street kids have suffered severe burns in controversial circumstances in the capital city of Akwa Ibom State, Uyo. The victims, identified as Namanso Edet-Bassey, 8, and Kufre Effiong, 9, are being treated at St. Luke’s Hospital.

According to police report, the children were burnt in an uncompleted building over accusations of witchcraft.

The victims described themselves as homeless kids, who had nowhere to go and who found shelter in the uninhabited house on the outskirts of Uyo.

A video by ChannelsTV shows Namanso Edet-Bassey on in a hospital. She said that her parents have separated, so she was abandoned and sleeps in an uncompleted building. The second victim, Kufre Effiong, calls the street as his home.

The duo was rescued by a Sister from a local Catholic Convent. The Reverend Sister has also made a formal report to the police.

The escaped Chibok girl revealed to Leadership how the sects divided them(Chibok girls) into three different camps on their arrival at the forest.

She said: “When we got to the Sambisa forests they decided to divide us into three groups and each group was asked to go to different direction of the forest”.

We were taken to the camp from where we were able to escape. We never saw the other girls in the other two camps till we managed to run back home,” she told Leadership.

Contrary to earlier reports, the United States of America declared on Friday, 27 June, 2014, that it does not know the where-about of the 219 schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram in Chibok, Borno State, northeastern Nigeria.

It could be recalled that no fewer 276 students of Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State were abducted by members of Boko Haram on 14 April, 2014. Though some of the kidnapped schoolgirls reportedly managed to escape the insurgents after their abduction, 219 of them are still being held by the Islamists terror group.

Few days after the girls' abduction, leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau, said, in a video posted on the internet, that he would not release the schoolgirls except for an exchange of some of 'his brethren' captured by the Nigerian soldiers.

The Nigerian federal government led by President Goodluck Jonathan, supported by the international communities, had since stated they are not going to negotiate with the terrorists on the matter, promising to ensure that all the missing girls are brought back home.

Speaking on attempt to rescue the schoolgirls from their abductors, Reuters reports that Pentagon spokesman, Rear Admiral John Kirby, told newsmen on Friday that it had decreased its surveillance flights in the search for the missing 219 schoolgirls.

A 19-year-old girl, Kate Olowu in a recent interview with Punch revealed how life has turn a different leaf after alerting the police about a robbery which in turn led to the arrest of her husband and father of her 2 weeks baby.

With a child less than two weeks old, Kate has reasons to be tense. Her life seems to have taken a tumble recently, when her husband, Monday, was taken into custody in connection with a robbery gang that snatched a Toyota Camry 2000 model, belonging to a pastor, Mr. Lawal, on Monday, May 26, 2014.

When Punch correspondents visited the Olowus’ house, a bungalow which Kate shares with her husband and mother-in-law, 68-year-old Mabel, it was obvious that the young woman was terrified of answering questions in the presence of her mother-in-law.

But when the older woman went inside to attend to some things, Kate broke down in tears and told her version of the story.

It all started a few weeks ago, when one of Monday’s customers and acquaintances, identified as Michael, walked into their house, which doubles as Monday’s shop for his embroidery designing work.

Little did Kate know that her already difficult life was about to take a turn for the worse.

The Governor of Kano State, Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, met 29 freed indigenes of the state, who were among 486 travellers from the North arrested in Abia State two weeks ago by the security operatives.

During his address at the Government House in Kano, the governor urged them to return to legitimate businesses anywhere they found themselves in the country, SaharaReporters revealed.

Kwankwaso noted there is no law in Nigeria that bans citizens from travelling and doing a lawful business anywhere on its territory.

Lagos Police Docks 10 Suspected Cultists

The Lagos State Police Command on Thursday, arraigned eight suspected members of the Supreme Eiye confraternity alongside two Odu’a Peoples Congress (OPC) members before an Igbosere Magistrates' Court for alleged theft and murder.

The accused persons which comprised Azeez Akintunde, 28; Akeem Adebayo, 31; Akeem Abudu, 31; Kamoru Adeniyi, 35; Rasheed Ambali, 32; Notik Awotugashe, 23; Jamiu Sule, 25; Gbenga Adebanjo, 26; Akinsoye Solanke, 27; and Yusuf Ayoola, 28 are standing trial for various count charge before Magistrate, Mrs O. Olanipekun.

Akintunde, in addition to a charge of murder, is also tried for conspiracy and running an unlawful society, while Adebayo, Abudu, Adeniyi, Ambali, Awotugashe, Sule, Adebanjo and Solanke are charged with conspiracy, managing an unlawful society and unlawful assembly.

Chiellini Wants FIFA To Reduce Ban On Suarez

Italy's Giorgio Chiellini has come out and described the ban on Luis Suarez is "excessive."

Luis Suarez was banned by FIFA for biting Giorgio Chiellini during Italy's crucial but futile 0-1 lost to Uruguay.

Musa Predicts Super Eagles Fate In Ongoing World Cup

Ahmed Musa, has expressed optimism that the Super Eagles has what it takes to go beyond the second round of the ongoing FIFA World Cup hosted by Brazil.

The Eagles forward made this known in Porto Alegre after the Super Eagles booked their passage to the Round of 16 after 2-3 loss to Argentina.
The CSK Moscow international star, however, noted that the team needs hard work and dedication in order to advance to their next game.

He commended the team, and expressed believe that the African champions would get to quarter-final and even get a semi-final berth.
Musa acknowledged that his team put up a brave fight against Argentina in the second half of the game, and revealed that he was very happy to have scored two goals against a big team like Argentina featuring the likes of Lionel Messi and Angel Di Maria.

"That game was very important in my career and I am very happy that I was able to score two goals in the match. They (Argentina) had the game in the first half and created more chances but we came back in the second half to put up a great display against them" he said. "We have the players and a great bench to go beyond the second round of the competition, but we must work harder in subsequent matches to achieve our target".

The super eagles will play their next match on Monday against France.

At least 110 persons, mainly women and children, were given mass burial in several regions of Southern Kaduna in the afternoon of June 26, 2014, Thursday.

All of the deceased were killed in a series of ethnic attacks on at least seven settlements of Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The attackers, suspected to be Fulanis, burnt down houses and slaughtered dozens of villagers.
According to a local resident, Barrister Sunday Ugah, who sent some images and notes to SaharaReporters, many people are still missing in the area. The number of wounded people reached 300, while the number of displaced people will be even more shocking.

Nigeria Won't Be Easy, But We Are Ready - France

French Coach, Didier Deschamps has revealed that he believes that Nigeria won't be an easy opponent in the round of 16 clash on monday at the 2014 FIFA World Cup

Keshi's led Super Eagles are facing the French National team next and all the bookmakers have already chosen the French team as favorites.

Deschamps had captained the victorious French side in 1998 and has warned his boys not to underrate the African team.

He said: Some people thought we were the kings of the world after beating Switzerland 5-2 but Ecuador showed they have qualities, and Argentina had a difficult match against Nigeria.

“Nigeria are a strong, fast team who have great qualities and it is going to be a really difficult match and we will have to fight,” Deschamps revealed after watching his team drew with Ecuador.

Now we have five days to prepare for our game against Nigeria. “They had a team with 10 players in front of us defending well. We had an enormous number of chances and we are disappointed we were not as effective as in our previous matches,” he said.

However Top striker Karim Benzema has told his teammates to expect a tougher encounter against Nigeria, saying the Eagle's team are not a pushover.

He said: “There are no easy opponents, we saw this against Ecuador. Now we must rest, recover well and get 100% for the knockout. Nigeria is a good team, it will be difficult but we must do everything to win”, he said.

Nigeria has only met France once in a friendly in Saint-Etienne in 2009, Nigeria won 1-0 by a Joseph Akpala strike.

World Cup 2014: Muntari & Boateng Kicked Out Ahead Of Crucial Portugal Game

Ghana Football Association has had to kick out two of their top stars, Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng due to indiscipline.

A statement on GFA's website read that both players "have been suspended indefinitely".
This comes as a shock to the west African nation hoping to make the round of 16 for the second time in their history.

Ghana needs to beat Portugal this evening and hope Germany beats USA to qualify.

Boateng, of Schalke 04 was kicked out for insulting the National team coach Kwesi Appiah in their Maceio training ground.

While AC Milan's Sulley Muntari was thrown out, for what the FA described as "unprovoked physical attack on an executive committee member".

29 year-old Muntari on tuesday allegedly assaulted Moses Armah (member of the team management) and Boateng did not want to apologize for his actions.

Ghana's government had yesterday sent $3m (£1.8m) in a chartered plane to Brazil, to pay the players large appearance fees because the team had threatened to boycott today's crucial game against Portugal.
Muntari was expected not to participation in today's game as he was disqualified after getting his second yellow of the tournament against Portugal.

This new development will definitely make the team's task of qualifying for the next round harder than expected.

Stephen Keshi Expresses Sadness Over Abuja Blast

The Super Eagles head coach Stephen Keshi, who is currently in Brazil with the Nigerian team, expressed sadness at the news about explosion in Abuja shopping mall.

The dire blast occurred in the country capital shortly before the start of the Super Eagles last Group F game against Argentina in the course of 2014 FIFA World Cup.

The Eagles' Big Boss was quoted saying by Daily Independent:
"How much of a victory is football going to give for those lives? What are these guys doing? They did it in the first game, and they now did it again. This is sad."

It would be recalled that a deadly explosion rocked the viewing center in Damaturu, Yobe State, just before the kick off of the first Mundial game between Brazil and Mexico. According to police, 14 people were killed in that attack.

Despite the measures taken by the Nigerian authorities, including enhancement of surveillance in the viewing spots and even a ban on such centers operation in some areas, the tragedy was not prevented.

Meanwhile the Super Eagles, who lost 2-3 to Argentina, still qualified for the last 16 of the World Cup. Nigeria will play its next match against France on Monday. June 30.

The delegates supported the idea of its creation because Nigeria, with its enormous population of over 170 million people and big territory, is too large to be controlled by Abuja-based federal police.

The American model is much more suitable for a large federative state. According to it, police is divided into federal police, state police and county police, National Guard, as well as some others at various levels.
One of the disadvantages of the existing national system is that state governors, who are the chief security officers of their respective states, do not have power over the police, which is being controlled by the Inspector General of Police, appointed by the Federal Government.

FIFA Bans Suarez From Further Participation In The World Cup

Uruguayan Luis Suarez has been banned by FIFA for four months and nine games for biting Italian and Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini during Uruguay crucial game against Italy.

The incident occurred in the 79th minute of Uruguay's crucial 1-0 win over Italy, which sent them through to the second round.

Chiellini had signaled to the refree and showed the bite marks on his shoulder but the Mexican referee Marco Rodriguez did not look into the matter.

After public cries and concern, FIFA then decided to launch an investigation and gave the Uruguay team till 5pm (9pm GMT) Thursday to present their defence.

Suarez was absent during the defence but Uruguayan Football Association (AUF) board member Alejandro Balbi said that 27 year-old Suarez came out worse from the confrontation and that Suarez was being victimized by the English, Italian and Brazilian media after he had knocked the two Super powers out of the tourney.

FIFA however decided enough is enough and have taken the hard stance on Suarez, this being the third time he has been found guilty of the same crime.

Uduaghan Meets With US Ambassador, Discuss 2015 General Election

Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, on Wednesday played host to the United States Ambassador to Nigeria, James Entwistle and his team at his office in Asaba, the state capital.

Uduaghan, during discussion with US envoy assured him that the 2015 general elections would be free, fair and devoid of violence.

“The 2015 general elections will be devoid of violence as only popular candidates selected by the grassroots in a free and fair manner, will run for the elections” he said. “If a popular candidate, acceptable to the people at the grassroots is chosen, there will be no violence as it happened at the recently concluded election in Ekiti State.”

According to him, there would be a level playing ground for all candidates in the state’s forthcoming local government elections in order to ensure a free and fair election that will sustain peace.

“I insist that in the forthcoming local government election in the state, the grassroots will elect the people they want” Uduaghan said. “No candidate will be imposed on the people so as to have a free and fair election devoid of any violence.”

The governor urged the international community to assist Nigeria in curbing oil theft and terrorism in some parts of the country through monitoring and intelligence gathering and sharing, and noted that terrorism, being an international challenge, must be handled through international cooperation.

Ekiti Election Causes Tension In Senate

Latest news coming out of the Senate in Abuja indicates that there was tension on the floor of the red chamber on Thursday, 26 June, 2014 over the just concluded governorship election in Ekiti State, western Nigeria.

Punch reports that a rowdy session occurred in the senate as a result of a disagreement between the Chairman, Senate Committee on Independent National Electoral Commission, Senator Andy Uba and the Senator representing Ekiti Central Senatorial District, Babafemi Ojodu.

According to the report, it was the timely intervention of the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, who presided over the plenary, that prevented an exchange of blows between the two senators.

It was gathered that the trouble started when Uba, who spoke under Order 43 of the Senate Standing Rule, commended INEC, for conducting what he called “the most credible election in the country.”

Uba, a Peoples Democratic Party member representing Anambra South Senatorial District in the upper chamber, had stated that there was a lot of improvement in the conduct of the Ekiti State governorship election by INEC and also commended the people and government of Ekiti State for the peaceful conduct of the election that led to the incumbent Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi of the All Progressives Congress, losing to a former governor of the state, Ayo Fayose of the PDP.

38-Yr-Old Teacher In Court For Defiling 7-Yr-Old Schoolgirl

38-year-old teacher, Onuoha Kenneth, was arrested by police and charged to FCT Chief Magistrates’ Court on suspicion of defiling a minor, on Thursday, 26 June.

It was gathered that the incident occurred in school where Kenneth was working as a teacher. The man lured a seven-year-old girl in the school toilet and ordered her take off her clothes including her underwear. He inserted his finger into the victim's private parts, bruising and making her bleed in the process.

When the girl came back home, she told her mother what had happened and the matter was immediately reported to the police and later to the school authorities. Whereupon the Kenneth, who is a resident of of Lugbe, Abuja, was arrested and interrogated.

He appeared in court before Chief Magistrate Hadiza Shagari on a one-count charge of gross indecency. The offence that contravened Section 285 of the Penal Code.

Chief Magistrate Shagari granted the accused bail in the sum of N100,000 and two sureties in like sum. One of the sureties must be a federal civil servant who must reside within the court’s jurisdiction. The case was adjourned till Aug. 20 for continuation of hearing.

SHOCKER: Man Rapes 17-Year-Old Girl, Draws Blood From Her Private Part

A man, Tom Edumun, has been arrested for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl and extracting blood from her private part at Kwata Zawan, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Premiun Times reports that the victim of the incident, name not disclosed to protect her identity, narrated her ordeal to journalists at the Nigeria Union of Journalist, NUJ, press centre in Jos on Thursday, 26 June, 2014.
According to the minor, who is a final year secondary school student, Mr Edumun, who is a co-tenant with her father, had made several attempts to rape her and later succeeded in March.

She explained: “He had been asking me to sleep with him but I kept refusing, until that fateful day, sometime in March, when my father travelled to the village and nobody was at home. He forced himself on me and had sex with me in our room. Thereafter, he threatened me with a knife, that if I told anyone he would kill me,” the terrified girl said of her alleged attacker who is married with two children

“After that day, he called me to his car and drove me to a house far away from our compound. He took me to a room where two other men were waiting. They laid me down and he (Mr. Edumun) used a strange instrument to draw blood from my private parts. The three of them were holding knives. They threatened to kill me if I told my father.

“It kept disturbing me. I was becoming afraid. I could not face my father and tell him; so one day I told my younger brother, Tonzum, about all that the man had done to me. I wrote a note to my father, and then ran away to Abuja to inform my aunt. She was the one who called my father and told him. He then asked me to come back home here in Jos,” the victim narrated.

Security Sources: Lagos Explosion Was A Car Bombing

Almost twenty four hours after an explosion happened on Tuesday, 25 June, 2014, night on Creek Road near the Burma Road junction in Apapa, Lagos State, western Nigeria, security sources are saying the explosion was a car bombing.

This is contrary to information sent out earlier today by the Lagos State Government officials that the explosion, which eyewitnesses reported to have occurred around 9:15pm on Tuesday, came from a gasoline tanker parked beside a gasoline depot in Apapa.

Premium Times reports that two security sources disclosed that the explosion was apparently carried out by a female suicide bomber and was aimed at igniting several gasoline depots in the area.

It was gathered that a security source said the explosion could have triggered a massive inferno and inflicted a horrifying scale of casualties in the Apapa area, which serves as residential area as well as the hub of economic activities, including shipping, manufacturing, and storage of petrochemical products.

The source informed that said the suicide bomber apparently planned to ignite a series of gas distribution plants and gasoline depots owned by Folawiyo Energy some 150 meters away from the site of the explosion.

APC Wants Rochas Okorocha To Dump ID Cards For Northerners Plan

2014 W/Cup: Wakanow Compensates Nigerian Fans In Brazil

It was gathered that the travel company had to resort to purchasing commercial carriage for the fans at the last minute and seats could not be gotten for a majority of the fans.

As recompense, the fans were offered an extension of their stay to enable them watch the Eagles' second round match against France on Monday or flight tickets to a number of international destinations including London, Australia and China or monetary compensation.

Many of the fans have accepted the offers of compensation.
Speaking on the matter, Wakanow's Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Obinna Ekezie, who led the company's team to Brazil, apologised for the company's inability to move the fans to the match venue.
A source in the company informed that it was at the last minute that the Brazilian aviation authorities announced their refusal of landing rights to the plane chartered by Wakanow, which insisted on bringing a plane from the United States.

The Brazilian aviation authorities wanted the company to use the small, propeller planes that are on offer in their country.

UN Sanctions Boko Haram Leader, Abubakar Shekau, Ansaru

The Boko haram terrorists leader, Abubakar Shekau, and a splinter group, Ansaru were on Wednesday

sanctioned by the United Nations Security Council.

According to Reuters, Shekau is the first individual while Ansaru is the first entity to be so sanctioned since the Islamist militant group was blacklisted.

Following the sanction, Boko haram leader, Shekau and Ansaru will be banned from international travel while their assets would be frozen under the UN al Qaeda sanctions list.

Russia had placed a “technical hold” on the designations two weeks ago because it needed more time to review the listings, but diplomats said they lifted the hold on Wednesday, allowing the sanctions to come into force.

Abuja Bomb Blast: Policeman Died While Preventing Bomber

A policeman reportedly died on Wednesday during the Abuja bomb blast while he was trying to prevent the suicide bomber from driving into the Emab plaza, to wreck havoc.

The unidentified policeman had stopped the driver of the bomb-laden car from driving into the plaza as he was trying to jump the queue of cars that were also driving into the plaza, Punch reports.

According to policeman who was at the scene of the incident, the suicide bomber had aroused the suspicion of the dead policeman who then prevented him from driving into the plaza. As he was driving away, the policeman went after him and that was when the car exploded at the plaza's exit gate, killing him, the suicide bomber and other people.

Apparently, if not for the intervention of the policeman who stopped the bomber from driving into the plaza, the blast would have caused maximum havoc and killed many more people.

However, the Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, said he was not aware, but that it would be investigated.

Meanwhile, some commercial banks within the vicinity of the blast have agreed to security agents with the CCTV footage of the

incident so as to assist them in their investigation.
Following the Wednesday’s explosion at a busy shopping mall, Emab Plaza in Abuja, which left 21 dead and 17 injured, relatives of the victims were said to have overcrowded the hospital area in search of their loved ones.

According to report which surfaced yesterday, the Coordinator, National Information Centre, Mr Mike Omeri, said that one of the suspected bombers of was killed by soldiers and another arrested.

2015: Ex-Governor Of Oyo State, Alao-Akala To Contest For Governor

Former Governor of Oyo State Adebayo Alao-Akala reportedly joined the 2015 governorship race in the state. yesterday.

It would be recalled that in January 2014, the ex-governor made his intentions of running for Governor known with his campaign posters flooding the city of Ibadan.

The Governor who said he accepted to run so as to help his party, Peoples' Democratic Party take over from All Progressive Part in the state.

He said that the APC came into power fraudulently, adding “they must go back as they cannot sustain it”.
“They came in through court verdicts; we are going to send them packing. The PDP will take over Osun and other states of the South West in 2015. The APC is not ready for governance,” he declared.

“I have accepted to their request. It is the people of the state that are clamouring for Akala. Like what happened in Ekiti, the people like and want him and he won the election,” he said.

This is following the adoption of the former governor by the leaders of the party in the five local government areas of the Ogbomoso Zone at a meeting.

One of the party leaders, Chief James Adebayo Adewusi while addressing newsmen after the meeting, said the decision to adopt Alao-Akala was taken at a meeting held at the house of the former All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Senator Ade Adeseun in Ogbomoso.

He said the leaders would reach out to other leaders in other zones to ensure Alao-Akala’s victory at the party primaries.

According to him, some of the criteria used were his antecedents during his first tenure, humility and capability to deliver the state for the party in 2015.

Meanwhile Alao Akala has said he has equal rights and opportunity to contest for the election just like other contestants.

Wife of Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan, Patience Jonathan has advised African first ladies to support their husbands to enable their successful leadership "to make our continent free of any form of violence".

The First Lady stressed the importance of such backing in the face of current security challenges on the continent.

Jonathan's wife also pointed out that "there is nothing dialogue cannot achieve" adding that conflicts should not seize Africa.

"It is high time for us as African first ladies to take this peace initiative very seriously because what affects one nation affects the other. If we fail, we have failed our region, continent and the world. Nigerian woman have been praying, organising rallies and campaigning for peace in our country and we believe God will answer us."

Mrs Jonathan also spoke about woman's role in the issue of children upbringing and directing them to the "right pass".

Jonathan's warmly welcomed guest characterized the Nigerian First Lady as a role model for the wives of other African leaders.
