A Lagos based human rights lawyer, Bamidele Aturu, has been reported dead.

News of his death was made known to The Nation on Wednesday evening, by his colleague, Olanrewaju Suraj.
Suraj said, Aturu, who was popularly known for championing human rights and constitutionalism, died in a Lagos hospital after a brief illness.
