The 16-year-old player is considered to be among the most promising
players for his age in England. He gained recognition and attention
during the 2013 Milk Cup.
Watford FC forward has scored 10 goals in 5 matches of the tournament and claimed his nickname – “Nigerian Messi”.
Obi was monitored by such esteemed EPL Clubs as Arsenal and Liverpool. However, he preferred to stay with Louis van Gaal-led Red Devils.
Nigerian Messi’s club, Watford, made a desperate attempt to keep the
talented player by offering him three-year scholarship and a
professional contract. However, the young talent was adamant and would
now try to show his full potential and shine in Manchester United.
Obi has already visited their facilities, Carrington complex, and even trained with some of the MU’s stars.
We wish him the best of luck!
