A widespread outrage and instability in the country compels the Nigerian authorities to enhance security measures.
According
to Alhaji Shuaibu Gambo, the Commissioner of Police in Sokoto State,
security officers had been deployed in public and private schools. Their
responsibilities include ensuring teachers and children's safety and
preventing potential attacks across the state.
The intelligence officers had been also sent to motor parks and public buildings. They have been already briefed on security methods to be taken in their respective areas of assignment.
The Commissioner of Police assured that they exert every effort to be aware of what is going on in the state and stay proactive to protect lives and property of the people. Thus in order to ensure peace and tranquility the police and common people should work together.
The commisioner asked the locals to inform the police about any dubious characters, suspicious items and movements in the state.
