According to a statement released
by PDP's publicity secretary, Mr Taofik Gani, the party stated that if
the Senate failed to reprimand the lawmaker, it would invoke section 69
of the 1999 Constitution.
The section of the constitution talks about the powers and processes to recall a Senator or member of the House of Representatives.

The statement informed that though the Senate had asked its committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions to investigate Tinubu, it would not hesitate to initiate a recall of the lawmaker if she does not stop the unsatisfactory manner she is conducting legislative functions.
The statement reads: “First, we want to reassure Senator Remi Tinubu that indeed she has had her fill in the Senate and can never return to the Senate in 2015, at least not as a Lagos Senator. As a matter of fact, her completing this present term is hanging in the balance.

* Senator Oluremi Tinubu
”Unless she is lucky to be cleared by the senate committee that would investigate her, we shall mobilise voters from her Senatorial District to commence the process of her recall as allowed under the Constitution."
Senator Tinubu (born 21 September, 1960) became the First Lady of Lagos State when her husband, Bola Tinubu, was elected as Governor.
As First Lady, she established the New Era Foundation, dedicated to establishing centres for "all round development of young ones and promote public awareness on environmental health and community service. She assumed office as a senator in May 2011.
