The
suspect who is facing a murder charge is separated from the boy's
mother and married to another woman revealed that he killed his four
year son because he watched him while he was having sex with his wife.
The
chief magistrate, S.O. Solebo, who did not take the plea of the
accused, ordered him to be remanded in prison, pending a legal advice
from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
According to the
prosecutor, Inspector Richard Odigie, he told the court that the crime
was committed on February 10 at about 5:00 p.m. at Elvis’ residence.
“The
accused beat the boy, used hot pressing iron on his body and padlocked
his mouth. “ He further put the victim inside a plastic drum full of
water and locked the drum with padlock. “An eyewitness reported the case
at the police station, following which the accused was arrested,” Odigie told the court.
He said that the offence contravened Section 221 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
Solebo, however, adjourned the case till April 2.
