'President Jonathan Has Been Deceived Into Buying A Bunch Of Expired Politicians' – Gov. Okorocha

photoGov. Rochas Okorocha of Imo state has described members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state who defected to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over the weekend, as 'expired politicians.

Speaking to journalist at the government house shortly after the PDP rally in Owerri, Okorocah said the rally was agathering of of the problem of Imo people who are now in one basket and would be easy to evacuate in the 2015 elections.

He sympatised with President Jonathan who he says was deceived into spending N250 million to buy a bunch of expired politicians whose political value is not up to N1 million.

"It is painful that after three years of President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, all he could do for Imo people was to commission Udenwa, Ararume and Anyanwu as his projects for voting him into power.

"Everybody admitted that Imo gave President Jonathan 1.3 million votes, three years after we have nothing to show for it, does it mean that all Imo is good for is to cast votes?
"They have deceived Mr President, all they could say at the rally was how to take back power," Okorocha said.

He added that APC's fortunes or victory cannot be threatened in 2015.

Those who defected from APC over the weekend include, former governor of the state, Chief Achike Udenwa, Senator representing Owerri East, Chris Anyanwu, Senator Ifeanyi Ararume and Mike Ahamba.
