This was made known yesterday by CSP Frank Mba, who also urged the owners of the centers and the visiting fans to be vigilant during the Mundial.
To eliminate the possibility of attacks, Mba insisted on additional security measures to be taken in such places, like conducting "a thorough stop and search of viewers" by the centres operators.
It would be recalled that for security reasons Adamawa government has imposed and indefinite ban on football viewing centres in the state following the advice by the Nigerian military.
The measures regarding shutting down centres and enhancing surveillance there are connected with a series of recent attacks in various areas nationwide.
On May 24, suicide bomber targeted the spot in Jos, Plateau State, where people where watching the final game of the UEFA Champions League, killing 3.
In April, gunmen stormed a venue broadcasting the same tournament in Potiskum, Yobe State, shooting 2.
And the highest in the number of casualties was the attack on Mubi, Adamawa State, which claimed scores of lives.
