Nasir El-Rufai Is Delighted On Appointment Of Lamido Sanusi At The Emir Of Kano

A former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nasir El-Rufai could barely hide his emotions after news on appointment of a former CBN Governor, reached him on June 8, 2014. El-Rufai has declared in separate Facebook posts that this was one of the happiest days of his life, and that “Jonathanians can go jump into the lagoon”.

El-Rufai, who described the ex CBN governor as his brother, mentioned that God fulfilled the wish, which had been discussed by him in SLS back in 1977.

He also condemned the Peoples Democratic Party for issuing a false statement which prematurely on his appointment as the Emir of Kano, as well as for mounting pressure on Governor Kwankawaso to discourage him from selecting SLS.

Speaking about next steps of Jonathan’s administration, El-Rufai predicted that they would not give up and emphasised that they lost the battle, but the war against Sanusi Lamido Sanusi would go on.
“They still have the Jonathanian SSS to manufacture fresh falsehood. They have hundreds of hungry Wendell Simlins to tweet and post their drug-induced fabrications for villa cash hand-outs,” the ex- minister wrote.
El-Rufai further urged the people of Kano to protect their home city, the state and the newly appointed monarch from those who stole $20bn, and who do not wish well for Nigeria, encourage religious and ethnic division of the country.

To back his words, a fresh report from Kano indicates that in Kano in accordance with “the orders from the above”. More private planes reportedly banned from landing at the Kano Airport in the morning of June 9, 2014, Monday, in the alleged move to frustrate those flying into Kano to congratulate HRH Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.
