Dozens of disgruntled students from the University of Port
Harcourt poured into the streets in protest against increased tuition
fees.
A peaceful rally was sparked by a recent rise in
the school fees. UNIPORT students joined their counterparts all over the
country:




- LASU students marched to Governor Fashola’s office, forwarded an appeal to him and even started cooking and dancing in front of the Government House in Alausa, Ikeja. Later they blocked various areas in Lagos, including Ikeja Airport road.
- Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) students have held a presidential convoy hostage in Ile-Ife, Osun State on May 22, 2014, Thursday.
- University of Lagos (UNILAG) has been shut, angered students blocked entrances protesting against tuition fee hike.
