The wife of the presidential candidate of the All
Progressives Congress (APC), Hajia Aisha Buhari and that of the vice
presidential candidate, Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo stormed Owerri, the Imo
State capital for the party’s South East women rally.

The massive campaign/rally which held at the Grasshoppers’
International Stadium, Owerri, at the weekend, was also attended by wife
of the Imo State governor, Mrs. Nkechi Okorocha, wives of the APC
governorship candidates in the zone, chieftains and faithful of the All
Progressive Congress (APC) in the Southeast geo-political zone of the

Addressing the crowd, Buhari’s wife commended the Imo women for coming out en masses to welcome her, Daily Independent reports.
Aisha said votes for the APC presidential candidate would herald the end to insurgency, corruption, unemployment for the teeming population and other basic necessities of life.
She therefore urged all present to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), while expressing optimism that the APC would win the elections both at the state and Federal level.

He disclosed that Buhari and his wife are related to Ndi-Igbo being that the great grandmother Buhari’s wife’s was a native of Ogboko in Ideato South local government area of Imo State.
He gave Aisha a new name, “Ogechi”.

Aisha had about a week ago, urged Nigerian women to resist the temptation of selling their voter cards.
In reaction to the postponement of the general elections Buhari’s wife had asked Nigerians to accept the shift of Nigeria’s general elections in good faith.
