Military Recovered Deadly Weapons From Boko Haram In Gombi

The Nigerian army has shared the pictures of Monday’s, March 9^th, effective fight against Boko Haram insurgents in Gombi.

The militants escaping from the attack of military fell into the trap.


The Boko Haram terrorists were engaged by troops of 23 Brigade Nigerian Army in a gun fight that led to killing of quite a number of them.


Four Hilux vehicles and a number of motorcylces belonging to Boko Haram were devastated.

Arms and ammunitions recuperated include 3 anti-Aircraft guns, one-50 inch Browning Machine Gun and one General Purpose Machine Gun.

5,000 rounds of 12.7 milimetre ammunitions, 2 boxes of .50 inch ammunitions, 1,000 rounds of Light Machine Gun ammunitions and one Rocket Propelled Grenade 7 tube also were among recovered issues.



It would be recalled that the army ambushed the Boko Haram insurgents, who were trying to enter the town of Gombi.

Boko Haram sect, who has recently announced the alliance with ISIS, has stricken twice yesterday. At least 34 people were killed in suicide attack on Maiduguri and reportedly 10 residents became victims of terror group near Borno village.
