Another presidential candidate, ex-Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, had at the weekend contributed N8.5 million to the Sokoto State part of the main opposition party.
Other aspirants pushing for the opposition party’s presidential ticket are Governor Rabi’u Kwankwaso of Kano State and the founder of the Leadership newspaper, Sam Nda-Isaiah.
Mr. Buhari had recently established a crowd sourcing campaign on the social media to raise funds for the primaries.

The former head of the state was in the Bayelsa state yesterday to address the delegates of the APC for the party’s forthcoming presidential primaries.

While he was travelling from Bayelsa State to Makurdi to pursue delegates of his party ahead of the APC delegates congress scheduled for December his flight barred permit to land in Makurdi airport.
