Information coming in from the camp of the Super Eagles in Abuja informed that foreign based players are already arriving the camp for crucial 2015 African Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifiers against Congo and South Africa.

Ben Alaiya, the media officer of the Eagles, while speaking on a radio programme monitored in Lagos Monday morning stated that the likes of Babatunde Michael and Ogenyi Onazi are already in the country and are expected to hit camp later today.

He also said that all the home based players invited by coach Stephen Keshi for the qualifiers are already in Camp.

Alaiya added that the Eagles are expected to begin training  Monday evening depending on the arrival of other foreign based players that have informed the coaching crew that they would be arriving today.

Meanwhile, Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has assured the technical crew that he will honour the qualifiers against Congo and South Africa, despite only returning to full fitness recently.

Mikel has not suited up for the Stamford Bridge side since October 28 Capital Cup clash with Shrewsbury Town, but travelled with the squad for the tie against Liverpool on Saturday.
“Mikel has assured the coaches that he will honour the matches. He will depart London on Monday night aboard a British Airways flight, and be in Abuja on Tuesday morning,” one of Mikel’s representatives told SL10.ng.
He added: “There’s no cause for concern. He is physically fit and prepared to give his best in the matches due to their importance.”
In a related development, Stoke City striker Victor Moses has backed Keshi on his exclusion from the Eagles’ squad to prosecute the remaining 2015 Orange AFCON qualifiers.
The Nigerian winger who has been displaying impressive form for Stoke in the EPL lately, in an interview with Stoke Sentinel backed Keshi’s decision.

The 23-year-old said: “There’s a reason why I’m not in it (the squad), and the manager has said I’m just getting back from injury and he didn’t want to take the risk with me.
“I think he was right to do that not call me up. I’m the sort of player who always wants to represent Nigeria, but I just need to make sure I get myself bac
