National vice chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Umar Duhu, Wednesday stated that the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has finally collapsed in the country.

Duhu told Leadership Newspaper that the PDP is dead, especially in the Northeastern part of Nigeria.
According to Duhu, what Nigerians are eagerly waiting for is his party that has a credible political platform to rescue the nation from the many years of PDP misrule.

He said: “Nigerians, irrespective of party affiliation, are beginning to see the handwriting on the wall, that the PDP is completely dead as it is; because Bamanga Tukur who said he is a positive virus to the PDP has ruined the party with his undemocratic tendencies and vices. I have never seen in the vocabulary where a virus can be termed positive.

Duhu said, as a party guided, by its own laws, the APC leadership is ready to uphold the party constitution as far as it concerns the control of party structures, however, denying insinuations that power tussles is posing a threat to the new party.

“All governors are leaders of the party in their respective states, Adamawa will not be excluded. Nyako being the leader does not mean that all the party structure has been handed over to Nyako
