A 15-year-old student has been charged to court for raping and attempting to murder a 14-year-old girl.
The
boy reportedly committed this crime around 8pm in the park close to a
primary school and then left the girl for dead in a park.
The girl
was found alone in Luton, Bedfordshire, with severe head injuries by a
member of the public who called the emergency services.
According to a spokesman for the Police the 15-year-old Luton boy has been charged with rape and attempted murder.
'The
boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged in
connection with an incident that happened in Lewsey Park on the evening
of January 19, 2014,' said a spokesman.
The girl was taken to hospital after the incident and is today still in a serious condition.
He is expected to appear before the Court today.
