This was made known on Tuesday in a statement signed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Daniel Iworiso-Markson, a copy obtained by The Nation.
He explained that the eight appointees resigned because of their political ambition, adding that they intend to contest for various seats in the state and national assemblies.
The chief press secretary listed the resigned appointees to include the Commissioner for Education, Mr. Salo Adikumo and the Chief of Staff, Bayelsa House, Abuja, Chief Dikivie Ikhiogha.
The chief press secretary, however, revealed that Mr. Fyneman Wilson has been appointed as the new political adviser to the governor.
It was gathered that all the appointees who resigned from their various positions are to contest the 2015 elections on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
It would be recalled that state governor recently revealed whom he wants as a successor when his tenure ends though some prominent ex- militants in Bayelsa State on September 30, 2014, Tuesday, disclosed plans to give their 3-months allowances to support President Goodluck Jonathan’s Campaign and the future nomination of Governor Dickson for re-election in 2016.
The Peoples Democratic Party is alleged to be having some internal disputes over the warning that was recently issued to the states chapters, while the leadership of the party has reportedly begged the former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, for forgiveness.
