This was made known on Thursday by Mr. Wole Olujobi, Special Adviser on Media to the Ekiti State Speaker, Dr. Adewale Omirin, Sun reports.
Olujobi, who made the allegation on behalf of the lawmakers said: “This is bringing to the attention of all Nigerians the clandestine plan by members of the PDP in Ekiti State to unleash terror on the members of Ekiti State House of Assembly tomorrow (today).”
The speaker’s aide further stated that the lawmakers discovered the planned attack through a message mistakenly sent to a former member of the PDP who had defected to APC. He said the PDP directed all its members to mobilise all ward members for the planned attack.
He called on Governor Ayodele Fayose, to quickly wade into the planned attack by calling his party members to order. He said the recent planned attack followed the similar plan to initially attack APC members in the House of Assembly few days ago, but was foiled after the plan leaked.
“We urge the governor to call members of his party to order and let Ekiti people continue to live in peace, which they have been enjoying for four years under the former administration,” Olujobi said.
It would be recalled that on October 22, 2014, Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose reportedly close down a fuel station belonging to the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Dr. Adewale Omirin.
Meanwhile, Ayodele Fayose, who was a former governor of Ekiti State, was on October 16, swore in, for the second time, as governor for the next four years.
