A group known as Coalition of Democracy Vanguard, on Tuesday reportedly dragged the speaker before the Code of Conduct Bureau over his claim of ownership of a Petrol Station in Ado-Ekiti, Daily Independent reports.
It was reported that the group in a petition signed by the President, Femi Omoyajowo, and Secretary, Bolu Alabi, dated October 27, 2014 and addressed to the CCB’s office in Ado Ekiti, alleged that the Speaker had breached the oath of office and needed to be arrested and prosecuted over the ownership of the investment.
The group also alleged that for Omirin to have owned up to the ownership of the T.FIVE Integrated Petrol Station in Ado Ekiti, was contrary to the oath of office he took on August 6, 2011, when he was elected Speaker.
Omirin, had last week accused the State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, of sealing off his petrol station during an exercise conducted by Petroleum Task Force in the state.
