Amaechi's wife insists on compensation for families of killed security operatives

Judith Amaechi, wife of Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi, says families of security operatives whose breadwinners were killed while on duty should be provided with "adequate welfare policy and compensation package".

She spoke on Thursday at the Government House in the state's capital Port Harcourt while receiving chairperson of Police Officers Wives' Association and wife of the state Commissioner of Police, Mrs. Chinyere Ogunsakin.


Mrs. Amaechi maintained that it is necessary to review welfare and compensation policies for all Nigeria's security agencies. This would help boost the morale of security personnel at a time when Nigeria is facing safety challenges and ease the burden on families devastated with the demise of their wage-earners.
