2015: APC Will Win - Bashir Tofa

A former presidential candidate, Alhaji Bashir Usman Tofa is convinced the opposition party, All Progressive Congress(APC) will win in the 2015 general elections.

The an ardent supporter of the APC made the statement on Monday, during an interview with the Voice of America, Hausa Service .
Bashir Usman Tofa has also said if the conduct is free and fair, he expressed his confidence that the ruling party, PDP would be defeated during the presidential election in 2015.
Bashir has stated that with the support of the people, “the APC will take over reins of power in 2015″ as Nigerians were tired of PDP being in power.

Bashir Tofa speaking on the speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, political intention to run for president said the speaker may eventually join the presidential race on the platform of the APC.

Bashir Tofa was the former presidential flagbearer of the defunct National Republican Convention and also the founding member of the All People’s Party.

He was reportedly  the person who, after the 2007 elections, initiated this merger talks with the Action Congress of Nigeria, including Mr. Dan’s(Nwanyanwu) Labour Party, Chekwas Okorie’s All Progressives Grand Alliance, Senator Akinfenwa’s Alliance for Democracy and others.
Bashir Tofa who held many political positions reportedly resigned from them all after the 2011 elections.
