Mavin Records pop star, Dr. Sid, has explained what the track,
Surulere represents: dreaming big and never giving up on your dreams.
Dr.
Sid said this while on the set of MTV Base Official Naija Top 10 as
this week’s studio guest and co-host of the weekly show with VJ Ehiz.
Sharing
his views on parenting, Dr. Sid stressed the need for patience among
parents who put pressure on young couples to bear children.
He
later shared hilarious behind-the-scenes scoops on female
comedian, Helen Paul, who plays the role of wife to fast-rising actor,
Blossom Chukwujekwu, in the Surulere video.
Dr
Sid, who celebrates his Surulere, featuring Don Jazzy, kicking Burna
Boy’s Yawa Dey off the number one spot to second place on this week’s
chart, also shares his plans of working on a collaboration with fast
rising act, Patoranking.
He rounded off the show by performing a hilarious rendition of this week’s number one video, Surulere.
Patoranking’s
Girlie O and Davido’s Aye are this week’s biggest climbers: moving up
four places and three places, respectively, to number 4 and number 7.
Three
new entries are shaking up this week’s chart: Ice Prince with Jambo at
number 8; Wizkid’s On Top Your Matter at number 9; and Parcel
by Phyno at number 10.
Despite Jaiye Jaiye dropping out of this
week’s chart, WizKid still has two songs in the top 10, as he is a
featured artist on Jesse Jags’ Bad Girl at number 3.
Other artists on this week’s chart include Seyi Shay and 2Face.
