The
group said it is through such gathering of Nigerians with divergent
views that a more secured and united future of Nigeria is guaranteed.
Chairman of the organisation, Prince Daniel Kanu stated this yesterday at the official launch of the group in Abuja.
While expressing their support for the National Conference, Kanu recalled that Nigeria had held similar conferences in the past without useful outcomes, which consequently resulted in the present challenges confronting the nation and called for value reorientation in the country, especially among the youth as the future custodians of leadership.
He said: “The future of Nigeria within the background of having a secure and united country is very dear to our hearts at New Deal Organization. This is why we agree that President Goodluck Jonathan had to convene a National Conference where Nigerians of divergent views, mostly parents and youths are discussing the future of the country,” he said.
