Concerned Nigerians currently resident in the United Kingdom gathered at the Nigerian High Commission on Thursday, March 6th
in London to register their protest against the killings of innocent
children and the abduction of young Nigerian girls by a terrorist group
Boko Haram.
Though
a protest is few in number of people, the concerned people spoke up and
expressed their protest against what is perceived as government’s
inability to stem the bloodshed in Nigeria.
The protest is aimed to support the women protests in Nigerian cities – Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt and Ekiti.
Considering
the attacks in schools in Yobe state, the government has decided to
close some of the schools in Yobe, Borno, Adamawa states to protect the
children from possible attacks.
