The Kano State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety
Commission (FRSC) has confirmed the death of 13 persons in an early
morning auto crash on the Kano-Zaria road.

Mr
Kabir Nadabo, the command’s Head of Operation, said in a statement on
Monday in Kano that the accident occurred at Tashan Kofa village.
“Seventeen persons were involved in the crash, and 13 of them died on the spot, while four were injured.
“The bodies of the deceased and those injured were taken to the Murtala Mohammad General Hospital.
“A
bus ran into a stationary articulated vehicle around 0610 Hrs on the
Kano-Zaria road at Tashan Kofa, killing five men, seven women and a
child on the spot,’’ the statement said.
He said that the two vehicles involved in the crash were marked XJ930AKR and XA748FUN respectively.
