Ogun Governorship Candidate Fails At Political Debate

A mild drama occurred yesterday at the political debate when one of the governorship candidates found it difficult to face the public and answer the questions.

Iyabo-Ogunmefun
The governorship Candidate of Mega Progressive Peoples Party (MPPP), Iyabo Ogunmefun.
According to the Premium Times, the debate took place at DLK hall in Abeokuta. It was organised by the Committee for Defence of Human Rights, CDHR, Ogun State Chapter.
The governorship candidate of Mega Progressive Peoples Party (MPPP), Iyabo Ogunmefun, exposed the shy side of her character while taking part in the debate.

Ogunmefun became apparently nervous when asked a question and handed a microphone. The silent scene caused uncontrollable laughter from the public. Many of them even described her as a clown.

When the organisers noticed she was not fluent in her English presentation, they gave the MPPP candidate the opportunity to address the audience in her mother tongue, Yoruba. Unfortunately, she faced the same challenge and was not able to face the public again.

It would be recalled that the Nigeria Elections Debate Group (NEDG) has recently released the timetable of the 2015 presidential debates. According to it, the Directors-General of the Presidential Campaign Organisations of the 14 participating political parties would open the floor on January 28.
