PDP Campaigns Are Making Gen Buhari More Popular – APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has taunted the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over what it describes as a fruitless attempt to convince Nigerians not to vote for its presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) Punch reports.

The APC, in a statement by Alhaji Lai Mohammed, its National Publicity Secretary, on Thursday January 29, said all paid advertisements and campaigns of calumny aimed at Buhari had only been making him more popular.

It said the first attack launched was the allegation against Buhari that he gave former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the honour of picking his running mate but when Prof. Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) emerged, the PDP became afraid.

It also said having failed to pull down Buhari, the PDP tried to distract Nigerians by lying to them that Buhari never attended secondary school until he was exonerated by the Cambridge Assessment and Government College, Katsina.
The party added that PDP failed to pull him down, with the sponsored false television documentaries to deceive Nigerians into hating Buhari but that support for Buhari continued to increase.

The statement read, “They procured a forged medical certificate from their warped imagination of a university teaching hospital that our candidate is suffering from prostate cancer, but their ‘419 certificate’ had barely been unveiled before it was disowned by the authentic Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital. Again, the web of lies woven by the PDP and the Presidency were unravelled before their eyes.”
