Governor Ibikunle amosun and former Governor Gbenga Daniel
Complaining about how the State Governor keeps borrowing unnecessarily which puts the state in massive debts in disguise of transformation, PMNews reports that the former Governor feels so sad at many of the uncoordinated and uncalculated steps of the state Governor as it affects majorly the locals who do not even have an idea of what is going on.
The former Governor who believes the Ibikunle Amosun led administration in Ogun State would have been better if it was built upon the doctrines and ideals of the past administration explained to Labour Party faithfuls during an open summit in Ibiade town of Ogun Waterside local government area of the state.
The former governor revealed to the the faithfuls present at the
summit how he had signed a $9billion deal for a Dangote Petrochemical
Complex which was proposed to be sited in Ode-Omi area of the LGA before
his tenure elapsed but the present administration in the state has
frustrated the multinational company and many others to go to other
states adding that he wanted these companies to be sited in the state so
as to solve the problem of massive unemployment in the state.
However, the the Commissioner for information and Strategy in the state, Alhaji Yusuph Olaniyonu has countered the words of the former governor saying they are all untrue and that it was in a bid for the former governor to gain cheap popularity that he said the things he said. It could be recalled that just recently, the Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun blasted his predecessor, Gbenga Daniel, and current Ondo State Governor, Segun Mimiko for describing his administration’s infrastructural development and urban planing as elitist and exorbitant.
