"Walking into a class for the first time was nerve wracking but when the music started…"
The mother of two, LuAyne Brown, whose weight is slightly more than a centner, has been wowing people around the world with her moves and curvy shapes. The former cheerleader, who goes by the stage name Lulu, hopes to turn her hobby into a favourite full-time job in her native Hanover in Maryland, USA.
Lulu dreams about pole dancing as her future job
Speaking about her first time of trying her hand at pole dancing Lulu said, "Walking into a class for the first time was nerve wracking but when the music started I forgot I was even nervous to begin with. There is no other self confidence booster for people like me – I was instantly hooked and it was the first time I’d felt sexy in years."
Pole dance requires significant strength, flexibility and endurance
Ğ¡onfident in her abilities and physical appearance Lulu even participated in America’s Got Talent show where her unusual performance was warmly greeted by the viewers and later was watched by thousand of amused people around the world. A chubby dancer boasts there is no move she can’t perform.
"Why should it matter what size my hips are if I can dance?"
"My favourite tricks are anything upside down or hanging to the pole using my thighs – during the flexibility rounds of competitions people assume I won’t be able to do it so are always impressed. I don’t feel like I’m leading the way with body acceptance but I’m definitely part of the ship keeping things moving in the right direction. I’ll never be a size two and I’m cool with that. Why should it matter what size my hips are if I can dance?"
"I was instantly hooked and it was the first time I’d felt sexy in years."
