Scenes Of Kaduna Bomb Explosions

A twin bomb explosions rocked Kaduna State, northern Nigeria on Wednesday, 23 July, 2014.

The reports stated that the first explosion had occurred around 12.44pm local time, as a suicide bomber reportedly tried to kill Sheik Dahiru Usman Bauchi, but failed when Bauchi escaped.
Former Nigerian Head of State, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, was reportedly almost killed in the second bomb explosion that happened few hours after the first attack.

Eyewitnesses and humanitarian workers told newsmen that the death toll from both explosions has risen over 50.

Kaduna State Governor,  Mukhtar Ramalan Yero had few moments laters condemned the twin bomb blasts in the state capital,  describing it  as the height of ‘cowardice’ by those bent on creating tension in the state.

The governor announced a 24 hours curfew on the metropolis to enable security agencies restore normalcy to the town.

Also,  Kaduna police chief, Umar Shehu, who confirmed that the two explosions occurred in about 3-hour interval.
