Other members of the team include, Chris Ezike of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Dan Mallam of the Monitoring Unit and Adeyemi Ogunjemilusi of the Interpol Unit and others. All the officers are Deputy Commissioners of Police, DCPs.
They will be expected to work in collaboration with other security agencies.
Mba explained that security has been tightened in all the states of the federation, particularly in the states perceived to be more vulnerable to terror attacks.
The two bombs, which exploded at different times and different locations in Kaduna on Wednesday, July 23, were reportedly targeted at a former Head of State, Mohammadu Buhari and a prominent Islamic cleric, Dahiru Bauchi. The two men escaped unhurt.
Buhari, who expressed shock over the assassination attempt on his life, said yesterday that how he survived the bomb attack on his convoy remains a mystery.
Following the attack, a former Niger-Delta militant Alhaji Mujahid Asari Dokubo shared his thoughts on the incident, saying the Kaduna attack was a plot to cause calamity in Nigeria and push the military to take over from the President Goodluck Jonathan.
