Ramadan: President Goodluck Jonathan Welcomes Sanusi Lamido Sanusi

Apparently the Holy Month of Ramadan brought an opportunity for reconciliation between President Goodluck Jonathan and ousted CBN Governor the newly-elected Emir of Kano Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, as the president gave the emir and other traditional rulers a warm welcome at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on July 23, 2014, Wednesday.

The Sultan of Sokoto, the Emir of Katsina and the Emir of Kano arrived Aso Rock this evening to break the Ramadan fast with President Jonathan. The event has reportedly became possible due to efforts by Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III.

The feud between the president and Lamido Sanusi started in February this year after over the allegations of financial recklessness. Both of the sides got engaged into the war of words, as well as in legal battle.

It all changed in June 2014, after a sudden , and a surprising appointment of of the powerful and influential state.

The presidency and the ruling Peoples Democratic Party had no choice but to accept the decision of the people of Kano, .

Beginning of July 2014 marked the end of the, the Attorney General of the Federation and the Inspector General of Police".
