Wike who refused to mention the names of the commissioners said those concerned had an agreement with the state leadership of the PDP not resign their appointments now because they have to make enough money that will sustain them and their families.
If they resign now, they will be sacked. So, we want them to remain there and make enough money and join us then. I will not mention names, but when the time comes you will know them,” Wike said.
According to Daily Sun report, the minister disclosed this while speaking on Wednesday, August 6 in Ozuoba community in Obio/Akpor local government area of the state during the official launch of the Millennium Development Goals’ (MDGs) economic empowerment and conditional cash transfer programmes to the 23 council areas of the state by the wife of the President, Dame Patience Jonathan.
Wike also expressed optimism that the PDP will defeat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state during the governorship election come 2015.
Your Excellency, I want to say that today, August 6, you will call me that I said so. You can tell your security to remind you that I (Wike) said it here, in Akpor Grammar School, Ozuoaba, Obio/Apkor Local Government that PDP will win the governorship election and retain Rivers State,” he said.
Gov. Amaechi and Wike have been at loggerheads. Some time in April,  as they were both from the same Ikwerre ethnic group.
