18 Persons Were Not Slaughtered Like Ram- Adamawa Government

In a statement issued in Yola, he described the report which was published by a foreign media as total falsehood, lamenting that it was very unfortunate for someone out of mischief to publicise a false in order to cause pandemonium in the polity.

“This is false, malicious and regrettable. Those who supplied the radio journalist the information did so out of sheer wickedness and mischief,” Sajoh said.

He said himself and other government officials went to Koma on facts-finding mission to ascertain the report, adding that they held meeting with highly placed people in the area who told them nothing of sort happened in the area.

“There was a meeting at the palace of the District Head of Koma where the seven village heads, imams, pastors and community leaders expressed shock at the news of killings in their localities. At the end of the meeting, the district head of Chomcha spoke to journalists asserting that nothing of the sort took place in the area” he said.

Sajoh, however, urged residents to be cautious of people that give false information to newsmen and also to be watchful and security conscious. He warned those responsible for the false information to desist from such act as it is capable of causing unrest in the state.

Meanwhile there were reports yesterday that 18 people were killed in Koma district of the state during clash between insurgents members.
