Great: Real Madrid Hire Zidane As Coach

France legend Zinedine Zidane has been appointed coach for next season of Real Madrid’s feeder team, third-division side Castilla, the club said Wednesday.

FIFA ambassador Zinedine Zidane has been chosen by Real Madrid as the next coach for their feeder team, Castila which plays in the Spanish third division.

Real Madrid announced the appointment on their website revealing that Zidane who had been n assistant coach for the main team will move on to try his style of football.

They also revealed that Zizou will be joined by Santiago Sánchez to help revitalize Castila who where relegated to the third tier after last season.

Zidane had a long football career, having been blessed to have played at Bordeaux and Juventus before joining Real Madrid in 2001, winning multiple titles along the way which included the World cup in 98 and Euro in 2000 for the French national team.

Zidane retired after the World cup final in 2006 after he was sent off for headbutting defender Marco Materazzi in the chest before the Italians won on penalties.

Ancelotti had praised the Frenchman's work ethics saying: “He is learning how to work as a coach. He is hard-working, he has charisma and the right kind of personality to succeed.

“He is learning how to programme training sessions, how to talk to the players, how to motivate them and a a consequence of that I think that he is ready to take over as coach at any team.”
