Ballack Demands more From Arsenal's Ozil

Michael Ballack has criticized Mesut Ozil's perfomance for the German national team, saying he believes the playmaker can do more for the national team.

HAPPY DAYS: Mesut Ozil In Arsenal.
Ozil has been having a very difficult season so far, having moved from Madrid to London and having to adapt to a different game style.

His new style has attracted criticism from German press and English press alike who are saying that Ozil looks lukewarm in games.

Germany have to beat USA today to cement their top spot of group G in Recife.

Former German legend Ballack said that though he is a fan of Ozil, the Arsenal creator has been currently underwhelming rather than playing poorly.

“I am surprised by the critical views on Mesut Ozil,” Ballack told German paper Express. “For me, he is and he remains an extraordinary player.

“Yes, he has not had a overwhelmingly good match at the World Cup until now but he did not disappoint me either. He needs a magic moment, he must force this moment to happen.”

Ballack had led the 2002 German squad to the final of the Korea/Japan world cup, but had to miss out on the final due to being disqualified.
