Soldiers Shoot Three Youths To Death

Gunmen suspected to be soldiers attached to the Special Taskforce on Security in Jos, Plateau State have reportedly killed three youths and injured several others when they opened fire on them at a birthday party.

The incident which was said to have occurred at Joenice Bar at the Nyango Gel , Bukuru Low cost area of Jos was gathered to be as a result of an argument between the youths and the owner of the bar which prompted the owner to alert members of the STF.

An eyewitness said immediately the STF men got to the scene, they started shooting at the youth; killing three persons while others sustained injuries.

Meanwhile father of one of the victims, Timshak speaking with Punch at his residence in Zawan that the action of the soldiers was lamentable.

Nantel said he could not believe that those saddled with the responsibility of protecting citizens could turn around to kill them.

Miri demanded Justice and urged the task force commander to bring the soldiers, who carried out the acts, to book.

However efforts to reach the spokesman of the Special Task Force, Capt. Ikedichi Iweha were futile.
