John Odigie-Oyegun, Rauf Aregbesola and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu
The team was led by the national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and the new national chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun.
According to Punch report, the team solicited the support of Oyinlola, saying they wanted him to be part of their new movement.
Oyegun said, "The APC knows that you are the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party in the face of the law. But we want you to be a part of our new movement."
Tinubu who spoke after Oyegun was said to have concurred with him, while also acknowledging Oyinlola’s leadership qualities.
Responding, Oyinlola, who thanked the visiting APC team for acknowledging him, promised to make consultations with his followers over his meeting with them.
Acknowledging that he is still a PDP member, he said he would fight the case of his removal as National Secretary of the ruling party to a logical conclusion.
The visit of APC leaders to Oyinlola is coming on the heels of Ekiti gubernatorial election where Kayode Fayemi of APC lost to PDP candidate, Mr Ayodele Fayose.
