Keshi Is A Grown Man, He Can Quit - NFF Vice President

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) vice president Mike Umeh has come out and bravely said that Keshi can leave if he wants.

After Eagles loss to France in the FIFA world cup round of 16, Keshi has come out and said he is not sure of what the future holds for him.

He had also lamented on the way Nigerian fans treat the team despite being quite successful than the past teams and even winning the African Championship.
South Africa has been interested in Keshi for over a year now, offering him seven times the salary he earns in Nigeria.

Mike Umeh told Vanguard reporters:“We cannot stop Keshi from moving if he wants to. He is a grown man and knows what is good for him. If he so desires a greener pasture, then we can’t stop him, it’s up to him to decide,”.

Umeh also denied reports which stated that the NFF had been on loggerheads with the Big Boss, He said:“It’ll not be fair to say we haven’t supported Keshi.

We have given him tremendous support, more than anyone could imagine. So the thought that he hasn’t been adequately supported isn’t true.”

He also assured Nigerians that before the 2015 Africa cup of Nations qualifiers start, Nigeria will have a new head coach.

He said: “I’m sure a new coach will come in immediately Keshi’s departure is finalized, so that shouldn’t be a problem,”.
