Tuesday, July 1 met behind closed doors with a former Governor of Osun
State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Addressing journalist after the meeting, Oyinlola who refused to disclose the details of the meeting said he was determined to reclaim his position as National Secretary of the PDP as in the face of the law, the position was still his and anybody occupying the office was just a pretender.
"I was taken to the villa by the chairman of the party PDP, and we had some discussions as to how to move the fortunes of the party forward," he said.
Oyinlola was a member of the New PDP which was formed when some PDP governors had issues with the former party chairman, Bamanga Tukur but after they merged with the APC, he decided to remain in the PDP and fight for his position which was taken from him.
Its not only the PDP that is trying to get Oyinlola on its side. Some APC leaders led by the national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and the new national chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun had on June 22, visited Oyinlola at his Okuku residence.

The
agenda of the meeting which held for close to an hour was not
disclosed, It was gathered that it has something to do with the
forthcoming Osun state governorship election, Premium Times reports.
Oyinlola,
a former National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, was led to
the meeting with the President by the party’s National Chairman, Alhaji
Adamu Mu’azu.
