During a video session organized by Borno
State government, parents of the abducted girls, the girls that escaped,
community leaders and the militants that raided the dormitory of Chibok
Government Girls Secondary School made the identifications of the
girls.
According to SaharaReporters, 80 of the 130 girls seen in the video have been recognized, while other sources like Punch, say that 77 of the girls were identified.
Earlier it was announced that 54 of the girls were recognized when 3 mothers, 5 fathers and 8 of the escaped girls came to the Government House in Maiduguri to watch the video released by Boko Haram.

The session of viewing the video was held at the Governor Kashim Shettima’s office. Several girls that managed to escape earlier showed up with the chairman of Chibok local government area and armed vigilantes at 2pm. As it is reported, the Governor himself was not present in his office, as he went to Abuja.
The session lasted for three hours, afterwards, all of them left the Government House with the same escort.
Meanwhile, one of the mothers of the abducted girls revealed to reporters of Saharareporters that the parent are aware of a ‘credible rumour’ that the girls might still be in the Sambisa Forest Reserve.
A video released yesterday by Boko Haram showed around 130 of the abducted 276 girls in a kidnap organized by them a month ago. The girls in the video were all wearing Muslim hijab dress and the leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau, claimed that the girls were converted to Islam.
In a response to that, CAN, Christian Association of Nigeria, issued a statement accusing the group Boko Haram of forcing this conversion of Christians.
