Niger state deputy governor, Ahmed Musa Ibeto has defected from the PDP
to the APC. Mr Ibeto defected today January 19th and will be presented
to APC followers during the party's presidential campaign in the state
later today. According to sources, Mr Ibeto decided to defect from the
party that brought him into government after the state Governor, Aliyu
Babangida of the PDP failed to help him emerge as the Governorship
candidate of PDP in next month's election.
Also, 200 political office holders of the PDP, including serving members of the National Assembly and State House of Assembly, former commissioners & local govt chairmen in the state also defected to APC.
