This is the case of a group of robbers who robbed a church (name withheld) in Ibara GRA area of Abeokuta, Ogun state. SUN reports that the gang struck last Sunday during the church’s anniversary service, relieving members of their valuables and cash, and making away with N6 million, including church offerings in cash.
However, while the operation was going on, the state police arrived after a distress call made to them, and had a shootout with the robbery gang. Police bullets hit the leader of the robbers, Somoye, in the leg, and when he was searched a police Bareta pistol was recovered from him.
