The delegation from Borno state, headed by Governor Kashim
Shettima, met President Jonathan at the Presidential Villa in Abuja in
the late hours of May 3, 2014, Saturday.
As previously reported, the closed-door meeting
lasted till the early hours of Sunday and resulted in clear directive
from the president that everything must be done to ensure that abducted
female students would be brought back to safety.
Pressure on the Federal Government keeps growing every day. The case of missing Government Girls Secondary School (GGSS), Chibok, students have gone to the international level with attention from the U.S. government, and multiple #BringBackOurGirls rallies in foreign countries and in Nigerian cities.
