The
News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, reports that the Chairman of All
Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government
Area of Nasarawa State, Mr Godwin Alaku, along with 500 others on Monday
joined APC.
According to the report, the defectors were received in Nasarawa-Eggon by Mr Aliyu Bello, the state Secretary of the party.

Commenting on the latest defection, an elated Bello said that the APC-led administration in the state would continue to embark on more people-oriented projects.
The politician said Governor Tanko Al-Makura administration would continue to construct more rural roads in the state to improve the standard of living of the rural dwellers.
Bello also implored all the defectors to be their brother’s keepers irrespective of ethnic, political and religion affiliation.
Prior to the scribe's statement, Mr. Alaku said that their decision to defect to APC was informed by Gov. Al-Makura’s leadership qualities.
He promised to work tirelessly for the victory of the party in 2015 general elections and to promote peaceful co-existence among the people for the overall development of the area, the state, and the country.
