Jos resident Ladi Emmanuel thanked God for saving her life and said "it was just God that delivered me".

According to Vanguard, Ladi narrated that she was on the market the moment the first explosion occurred. Ladi didn't notice how quickly a plank fell on her hand. Being in half unconscious state, she could see people fidgeting, but didn't not try to leave until people started shouting she should run away.

"As I started running, I heard the second blast and got more confused but I just knew I was alive by God’s grace because I was not stampeded where I was, I decided not to run as I did not know what was ahead but I survived though so many were not so lucky, it was God who saved me."

Another Jos resident, a trader identified as Funmi said her shop was right at the spot where the first bomb went off, but Funmi had left the shop to meet somebody in the market. When she was coming back to her place and approached the shop, she heard the loud noise and suddenly found herself on the floor.

According to the woman, in the general stampede people were stepping on her, but she managed to stand up and join the crowd despite the terrible pain she was feeling.

"It was already until I saw the flame razing shops and goods and I just passed out."

She was rushed to the hospital by a neigbour who spotted her. Although her shop was burnt to ashes, Funki is grateful to God for guarding her.

One man was mourning death of Francis, who left 3 children and an old mother in the village. The man and Francis were not relatives, but they lived in the same village in Jos, went to the same church.

"On Tuesday these evil people came, he passed by my shop at Railway Line and waved as if he knew he was saying goodbye."
