Speaking with newsmen in Akure, Ayeni said that he entered into the presidential race in obedience to divine instruction from God.
The APA presidential candidate was very confident and optimistic that he would defeat both his main opponents, Goodluck Jonathan and Muhamadu Buhari, if the election is free and fair.
“I came into the race because God directed me to contest the election. God told me categorically that I will succeed President Goodluck Jonathan and I believe what God says, hence, my resolve to contest the forthcoming presidential election”, Ayeni said.
According to Vanguard, he promised that his government would focus on agriculture by giving a 100% subsidy to farmers, and youth development by creating one million jobs yearly.
Speaking about the problem of insecurity in Nigeria, Ayeni said that the only solution is the provision of quality education and employment opportunities for young people.
Earlier this year an Enugu-based prophet, Anthony Nwoko, predicted that neither President Goodluck Jonathan nor his opponent, Muhammadu Buhari, would be president after the forthcoming election.
