He Is Not My Father - Osinbajo Reacts To The Viral Photo

Professor Yemi Osinbajo has reacted to claims that he left his father to suffer in a village in Ogun state.
A few days ago, a photo of  a poor man sitting down, resting his back on the wall of a mud house went viral. The obviously helpless-looking man was allegedly said to be the father of the vice-presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Professor Yemi Osinbajo. This might have been because of the striking semblance between the old man and the pastor cum politician. See the photo below:

The opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party further fueled the seeming ‘allegations’, saying that the vice-presidential candidate had left his father to suffer in a village in Ogun state while he enjoys life in Lagos.

However, Professor Osinbajo has stated that the person in the photo is not related to him in any way. He further said that the photo was taken during one of his political tours to Ogun state. Osinbajo took to his Twitter account, saying that his own father died on July 22, 1996, and that his mother, who is 82 years old, is alive and well in Lagos.

Here is a quick glance at photos of his family as he shared below:
