Unlike most rich and famous footballers, Messi has no airs about him. He is never in the news for the wrong reasons and hardly linked to any major controversy.
Little wonder that big brands queue to have him endorse them. An athlete with such a personality will no doubt enhance the image of any brand he endorses.
Cesc Fabregas too is very popular in Nigeria, because of his previous affinity with Arsenal Football Club of England – a club with millions of fans in Africa’s most populous country.
It is therefore no surprise that fans of the duo will bump into them and request a photo opportunity. Nigerian actresses Ebube Nwagbo and Uche Nnaji seem to be such fans.
Messi is currently visiting Fabregas in London as the duo struck up a bond while the latter was plying his trade for Barcelona.

Ebube, who was once linked to pop singer Kcee, was spotted last year going on a boat cruise with dance-hall artiste Timaya.
