Saraki Issues Easter Message, Urges Nigerians To Be Like Jesus

Saraki Issues Easter Message, Urges Nigerians To Emulate Jesus

Senator Bukola Saraki congratulated Nigerians on the upcoming Easter, urged Nigerians to let the message of selflessness and unconditional love, as preached and demonstrated by Jesus Christ, reflect in their lives.

The Chairman of Senate Committee on ecology and environment, noted that it has become necessary particularly at this point when “our nation is being faced with daunting challenges”.
He expressed confidence that if the spirit of love is demonstrated, the killings, and other forms of social uprising would be over.

Saraki reminded Nigerians that without sacrifice and selfless spirit, “we cannot progress as a nation and development cannot be accelerated”. Therefore, Nigeria should be place above individual interests of individuals, while ethnic or regional affiliation has to be moved aside.
“United in this singular belief, we must keep praying and working for our nation regardless of how the challenges seem insurmountable,” he noted.
The senator called on Nigerians to pray for peace, unity and progress of the nation and to sympathize with the families of those who died in deadly attacks.
“May Allah console and comfort them, that with firm faith in the Almighty, out of darkness, may come forth light.
“As this season is celebrated; we must be conscious of thematic issues surrounding the death and resurrection of Christ i.e. sacrifice for men and love for others the way you love yourself; and apply these themes to our daily lives and relationships to one another as Nigerians in order to move our society and the nation at large forward,” Saraki concluded.
